Commando first. Engineer second. Founder since.

I served as a Royal Marines Commando before I wrote production software. The engineering came next: an MEng in Electronic and Computer Engineering, finishing as an award-winning graduate.

Since then I have spent five years building products, most of that as a founder. I build AI systems that do whole jobs: multi-agent platforms, LLM products, and the infrastructure underneath them. I work daily in Claude and Claude Code, run my own MCP tooling, and have shipped to production as a solo engineer repeatedly.

Today I also serve as a Sub Lieutenant in the Royal Naval Reserve, as SO3 Innovation, holding active SC clearance. I am based in Ebbsfleet, Kent, under 20 minutes from London St Pancras. Full UK right to work.

How I work

Habits from living with the consequences.

Acceptance tests first

Define what the system must do before building. Get agreement. Build to the test.

Evaluation out of necessity

Grading agents gating expensive work. Thresholds tuned on hand-reviewed samples. Human review for uncertain decisions. Built because I had to live with the consequences in my own products.

Own the commercial outcome

I have onboarded and supported my own customers. The code is not done when it compiles. It is done when the customer is paid up and happy.

Governance designed in

Per-tenant isolation, audit logging, human approval on anything consequential, and cost tracked per unit of work. Not bolted on afterwards.
